QUAIL ROAST

Ingredients:

  1. Quail – 2 no.
  2. Yogurt – 1 tb
  3. Onion – 1 tb + 2 tb
  4. Ginger paste – ½ tb
  5. Garlic apste – ½ tb
  6. Chilli powder – ½ tb
  7. Cumin powder – ¼ tb
  8. Coriander powder – ¼ tb
  9. Cardamom – 2 no.
  10. Cinnamon – 1”
  11. Garam masala – ¼ tb
  12. Salt

Procedure:

Marinate quail (2 no.) with yogurt (1 tb), salt, onion paste (1 tb), ginger paste (1/2 tb), garlic paste (1/2 tb), chilli powder (1/2 tb), cumin powder (1/4 tb) and coriander powder (1/4 tb).

Heat a pan. Add oil and add cardamom (2 no.), cinnamon (1”), onion paste (2 tb) and the marinated quail.

Cover and cook the quails till the oil gets separated from the sides. You can always sprinkle some water if the masala tends to burn.

Add garam masala (1/4 tb) and water (1/2 cup). Cover and cook for 5 minutes.

Serve hot with rice or chapatti.
