CHICKEN KORMA

Chicken Korma

Ingredients:

  1. Chicken – ½ kg
  2. Poppy seeds – 1 tb
  3. Almonds – 5 no.
  4. Cashew – 5 no.
  5. Shah jeera – 1 tb
  6. Oil – 2 tb
  7. Ghee – 2 tb
  8. Green cardamom – 4 no.
  9. Cloves – 2 no.
  10. Onion – 2 no.
  11. Ginger paste – 1 tb
  12. Garlic paste – 1 tb
  13. Green chillies – 2 no.
  14. Yogurt – ¼ cup
  15. Tomato – 1 no.
  16. Coconut milk – ½ cup
  17. Salt

Procedure:

Make a paste of Poppy seeds (1 tb), Almonds (5 no.), Cashew (5 no.) and shah jeera (1 tb).

Heat oil in a kadai. Add oil (2 tb) and ghee (2 tb). Add green cardamom (4 no.) and cloves (2 no.).

Now add onion paste (2 no.) and fry for 2 minutes. Add ginger paste (1 tb), garlic paste (1 tb) and green chillies (2 no.).

Add chicken pieces (1/2 kg) and fry for 5 minutes.

Add yogurt (1/4 cup) and tomato paste (1 no.). Fry for 5 more minutes.

Now add the paste and fry for 5 minutes. Add coconut milk (1/2 cup) and close the lid.

Switch off the flame after 2 minutes.

Serve hot with Rice or chapatti.
