CHICKEN HIMACHALI

Ingredients:

  1. Chicken – ½ kg
  2. Cumin seeds – 1 tb
  3. Fenugreek seeds – ½ tb
  4. Dry red chilli – 4 no.
  5. Cinnamon – ½”
  6. Green cardamom – 2 no.
  7. Black cardamom – 1 no.
  8. Cloves – 2 no.
  9. Onion – 1 no.
  10. Ginger – 5 slices
  11. Garlic – 6 cloves
  12. Curd – 1 cup
  13. Salt

Procedure:

Dry roast and grind – Cumin seeds (1 tb), Fenugreek seeds (1/2 tb), Dry red chilli (4 no.), cinnamon (1/2”), green cardamom (2 no.), Black cardamom (1 no.) and cloves (2 no.).

Also dry roast and grind – Onion cubed (1 no.), Ginger (5 slices) and garlic (6 cloves).

Heat oil in a kadai. Add Chicken (1/2 kg) and fry for 5 minutes.

Add the onion paste and fry for 2 minutes.

Next add beaten curd (1 cup) and cook for 5 more minutes. Now add the powder paste and salt and fry for 2 minutes.

Add water (1/2 cup) and cook for 2 minutes.

Serve hot with steamed rice.
