DUDH DIYE LAU / BOTTLE GOURD IN MILK

Ingredients:

  1. Bottle gourd – 1 no.
  2. Milk – ¼ cup
  3. Flour – 1 tb
  4. Bay Leaf – 1 no.
  5. Cardamom – 2 no.
  6. Cinnamon – 1”
  7. Dry red chilli – 2 no.
  8. Cumin seeds – ½ tb
  9. Salt

Procedure:

Make a paste of milk (1/4 cup) and flour (1 tb).

Heat oil/ghee in a kadai. Add bay leaf (1 no.), cardamom (2 no.), cinnamon (1”), dry red chilli (2 no.), cumin seeds (1/2 tb).

Add chopped bottle gourd. And salt. Fry for 5 minutes.

Add the paste and cook for 5 more minutes.

Crush papad or add grated coconut and serve hot with rice or chappati.
