CHITTOGONG CHICKEN

Chittogong chicken

Ingredients:

  1. Chicken – ½ kg
  2. Dry red chillies – 4 no.
  3. Coriander seeds – 2 tb
  4. Garlic paste – 1 tb
  5. Turmeric powder – ½ tb
  6. Mustard oil – 1 tb
  7. Potato – 2 no.
  8. Onion – 1 no.
  9. Turmeric powder – ½ tb
  10. Chilli powder – ½ tb
  11. Cashew paste – ½ tb
  12. Salt

Procedure:

1. Dry roast dry Red Chillies (4), coriander seeds (2 tb) and grind to paste.

  1. Marinate chicken (1/2 kg) with half of the roasted spices, garlic paste (1/2 tb), turmeric powder (1/2 tb), salt and mustard oil (1 tb). Marinate the chicken for 5 to 6 hours.
  2. Heat a kadai and add oil (2 tb). Fry potatoes (2) with salt and turmeric powder for few minutes. Take them out and keep aside.
  3. Next add chopped onion (1/2), turmeric powder (1/2 tb), chili powder (1/2 tb), garlic paste (1/2 tb) and fry for 5 minutes.
  4. Next add onion paste (1 no.) and marinated chicken and fry till oil separates from the sides.
  5. Add potato, cashew paste (1/2 tb) and roasted masala next add water and boil for few minutes. Serve hot with rice.
