Irani chicken

Ingredients:

  1. Oil – 2 tb
  2. Cardamom – 8
  3. Cloves – 6
  4. Peppercorn – 10
  5. Cinnamon – 1”
  6. Onion paste – 4 no.
  7. Chicken – 1 kg
  8. Ginger paste – 2 tb
  9. Garlic – 1 tb
  10. Hung curd – 1 cup
  11. Almonds – 10
  12. Lemon juice – 1 tb
  13. Kewra water – 1 tb
  14. Garam masala – ½ tb
  15. Green chillies – 2

Procedure:

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add crushed cardamom (8), cloves (6), peppercorn crushed (10), cinnamon (1”), onion paste (4).
  2. Fry for 5 minutes till onion turns translucent.
  3. Add chicken (1 kg) and fry for 5 minutes.
  4. Add Ginger (1 tb), garlic (1 tb) and hung curd (1 c). Fry for 5 minutes.
  5. Add water and cover for 10 minutes.
  6. Add sliced Almonds(10), lemon juice (1 tb), kewra water (4 drops or 1 tb), garam masala (1/2 tb), ginger paste ( 1tb) and green chili slit (2).
  7. Cook in dum for 2 minute and cover it for half an hour.
  8. Server with Roti or jeera rice.
