Chicken Jalfrezi

Ingredients:

  1. Mustard Oil – 2 tb
  2. Chicken – 500 gm
  3. Coriander powder – 2 tb
  4. Cumin powder – 2 tb
  5. Turmeric Powder – 2 tb
  6. Sliced Onion – 2
  7. Garlic – 1 tb
  8. Green chilli – 2
  9. Tomato – 4
  10. Garam masala – ½ tb

Procedure:

  1. Marinate Chicken (500 gm) with coriander powder (1 tb) and cumin powder (1 tb) and turmeric powder (1 tb).
  2. Make paste 1 – Heat oil (1 tb) and add onion (1) slices and fry for 2 minutes. Then add garlic (1 tb) and green chilli slit (1) and fry for 5 minutes. Cool the mixture and make a paste.
  3. Make paste 2 – Heat oil (1 tb) and add coriander powder (1 tb), cumin powder (1 tb), turmeric powder (1 tb) and sliced tomato (4). Cool the mixture and grind it.
  4. Heat oil in a pan.
  5. Add the marinated chicken and fry for 5 minutes while covering the pan.
  6. Add sliced onion (1) and green chili slit (1). Fry for 5 minutes.
  7. Add the paste 2 i.e., tomato paste and fry for 5 minutes.
  8. Now add Paste 1 i.e., Onion paste and stir the chicken.
  9. Add Garam masala (1/2 tb) and fry for 1 minute. When the oil floats up at top add water and keep it cover for 10 minutes.
  10. Serve with Rice or Naan.
